My Medium article about an easy AI technique for making more realistic photos got a lot of attention before. This attention reflects the growing interest in AI art, an area where many of us are still exploring the most effective methods for producing lifelike images.
To further assist AI art enthusiasts in this field, I’ve developed another comprehensive resource (the 1st one, “128 Art Styles for AI Art Generation” is here): “128 Photography Prompts for AI Image Generation,” presented as a giant infographic. This chart aims to provide users with a handy reference for photography prompts while engaging in AI art creation. Most of the images were made using ArtSpace.ai, my main AI art tool.
So, how can you use this infographic? It’s simple. I have categorised the photography prompts into 8 categories: Composition, Lighting, Angle, Camera, Film, Filter, Weather/Time, and Era. Within each category, you’ll find 16 different prompts, offering a wide range of options for image creation. Simply browse through these categories, select the type of image(s) you wish to generate, and input the corresponding prompts into your AI art generator.
Usually, using about 3 to 4 keywords in total should be more than enough, as overloading the generator with too many prompts can lead to confusion and potentially less desirable results.
While these eight categories should provide ample guidance for generating your desired images, I understand that some users may require additional prompts for fine-tuning. For this reason, I’ve included additional suggestions for camera settings below the main categories.
Aperture — f/1.4, f/2.0, f/2.8, f/4.0, f/5.6, f/8.0, f/11, f/16
Shutter Speed — 2″, 1″, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000
ISO — 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400
Image Focus — Shallow Focus, Soft Focus, Deep Focus, Out of Focus, Rack Focus
Metering Mode — Multi/Matrix Metering, Centre-Weighted Metering, Spot Metering
White Balance — Auto White Balance, Incandescent, Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Flash
